The Naturewater-branded sediment filter inline cartridge is a filter used in water treatment to remove sediment particles such as sand, rust, and algae from the water. The water filter is made of polypropylene and therefore extremely robust. Its filter permeability is 5 µ, which means that the filter retains particles with a size of 5 micrometres or larger. The maximum flow rate is up to 180 litres per day, and the filtered water should have a minimum temperature of 4 °C and a maximum temperature of 54 °C. With a length of 254 mm (10 inches) and including a housing for a Jaco screw connection, the filter cartridge is suitable for use in commercially available drinking water filters.

The service life of a sediment filter cartridge depends on the water quality and the flow rate. A typical polypropylene filter cartridge should be replaced every 3 to 6 months to ensure optimum performance.
