Operating the device is very easy. The pre-existing hardness of the water needs to be selected via the display and the automatic control unit will alter the hardness of the water accordingly. Whether at home, at the bathroom or as a water cooler in bigger companies or at the kitchenette, due to its inconspicuous and compact design it is versatile in use. It is also in aquatics for the water processing applicable.
The advantages of soft water are near at hand. The making of hot drinks is more successful und the drinking of soft water and bathing are healthier as well. Besides, the household appliances, e.g., dishwashers or washing machines, last much longer as lime deposits are minimized.
The water is softened in an ion exchange that runs through a special resin. This resin is so constructed that it catches calcium and magnesium ions (in spoken language known as limescale) and releases sodium ions into the water. The result is a lower water hardness and the intact initial pH-level.
The main feature of this facility is the automatic regeneration of the exchange resin. Due to the salt in a salt chamber, the facility can exchange the magnesium and calcium ions, which are bound to the resin, for sodium ions in the regeneration period and free itself from the limescale. The resin will keep its initial functionality and can be used further. The only thing to do is to fill the chamber with the ordinary salt and the resin remains maintenance-free.
The device is self-cleaning thanks to the electrolysis of the aqueous salt solution, which is subjected to a low voltage. The small amount of chlorine produced in the process ensures cleaning, so that you do not need to clean the water tank by hand.
