Product information "Naturewater NW-5-EWP 4-stage Emergency Water Treatment Unit 10 L Bag, Portable Water Filter Outdoor"
Are you planning to go hiking or camping and fear of not having access to fresh and clean water? Look here, we are glade to present you this Naturewater-branded portable water treatment unit NW-5-EWP, the ideal helper en route. The bag, which has a 10-litres capacity, can be filled with water coming from a lake or a river when there is an emergency. But it can of course be used on a hike or on a camping trip, too; the water bodies found near your way or site can be used to produce fresh and clean drinking water. For this purpose, just fill water into the bag, where it will pass through the following filter stages:
• 1ˢᵗ stage: PP sediment: removes dust, sand, mud, dirt, algae, and rust particles from the water
• 2ⁿᵈ stage: iodised resin: used for killing bacteria in the raw water
• 3ʳᵈ stage: coconut coal: additionally removes remaining chemicals, odours, and suspended particles
• 4ᵗʰ stage: 0.01-micron hollow-fibre UF membrane: removes 99 % of the aimed noxious substances including cadmium, quicksilver, lead-arsenic, some heavy metals, and microorganisms
It will take approx. ten minutes until the water has passed through these filter stages. A water-outlet valve is found at the lower end of the bag; this valve is connected to the cartridge and hose included in the scope of delivery. Just place a vessel under the hose and let the hose hang into it. Now, open the water-outlet valve, and black water will flow into the vessel twice. After that, clean water will follow; this water can be drunk or used for washing and cooking. The BPA-free water-filter bag keeps its filtering capacity for about 1,000 litres water.
