NW-SHW2 Siliphos Filter 180g Siliphos-Cartridge Dishwasher- and Washing Machine Filter Cross Flow

Unlike other filter technologies cross-flow filters are able to clarify cloudy liquids with relatively high turbidity level. This filter is delivered with a siliphos container (ca. 180g).

Siliphos filters can extend the service life of your washing machine or dishwasher and reduce the detergent consumption up to 30 % depending on water hardness, with an increased cleaning efficiency. Additional salts may be completely dispensed with if the filter is installed to the dishwasher. Moreover it prevents corrosion of water pipes and the formation of so-called “brown” or “red” water caused by the oxidation of the iron pipes.

The service life is variable, depending on different influencing factors, e.g., on the water quality. The service life ends when granulated Siliphos is used up. At this point, the granules can be replaced with a new charge.

The filter has to be installed before the Aquastop of the washing machine or dishwasher.
Connections: 2x 20.67 mm (1/2") inside thread.

Mode of action:
Phosphating does not mean water softening in the actual sense, but rather keeping minerals causing scale in a dissolved and suspended state at higher temperatures (siliphos “ties up” hardness and renders it harmless). By the use of polyphosphate, the magnesium and calcium will form a soluble complex that will attach to the phosphate. A welcome side effect is the corrosion protection of the water pipes and slow reduction of remaining incrustrations.
